environment: clean, calm
with this odd business of being houseless and rent lesss but not homeless. i feel welcome in many a warm hearth. and for this i am eternally greatful to all my love in the universe. developing my urban suvival tactics. i made a kensington dumbster soup and enjoyed it. and although i crave bread and eggs i admire a vegitable diet simply because veggies are easy to find in the discard bin. do i routte thru the piles simply to disturb the dinning experiendces of the people on there fancy patios because of the long shipping routes and short shelf life. how long can anything really remain fresh? i do appreciate the complex beauty of rot and death. do i notice an age on my self, in my face and actions. i have slowed since the excited exasperating youth, but it from here seems cyclical and can return to a fever at the drop of a tap.
how do i reinvigorate and bring new health in to my body? when wil;l i reward myself with the jewel of my desire? is my sitaution condusive to health and well being? can i be more responisble in the face of tempation, or perhaps simply ask true self for guidence.

Responsibilities included agenda for monthly board meetings, authorizing accounts, hiring and evaluations of executive director and organizing annual general meetings of a 200 plus membership. Sub-committees I was involved with include policy, finance, grant, fundraising and cultural equity.
July 1998 –July 2000 Association of Student Governments (ASG)In all my years of secondary school I was involved with student parliament. I held the elected offices of Secretary, Treasurer and Vice President. Later I became involved with the ASG which served as an umbrella group for student councils across the city. While I was President of the ASG, we held a annual leadership conference for delegates from more than 35 schools. Myself and four officers were responsible for food, lodging, entertainment, t-shirts, Identity cards, manuals and sponsorship.

July 2006 Zanzibar International Film festival of the Dhow countries; ZIFF
· Guest teacher with my Swahili interpreter to host a tactile workshop entitled “history of cinema, a contrast on celluloid” for 30 youth at the Alternative Learning school as part of the children’s panorama.
April 2006- present Roots & Shoots; umbrella of Jane Goodall Institute, Dar es Salaam
· Art & Photo contest-fundraiser, a beach clean up and visiting local primary and secondary schools to inspire student focused community service groups.
March 31-2006 Habitat for Humanity; Tanzanian Gatsby Trust (TGT) -PhotographerAttended an interview of women in a village on the North end of Zanzibar Island. Photographed approximately 8 families in front of their old houses and the foundations for new ones, built by volunteers from Habitat for more stable conditions in the community. Photos may be used n the newsletter for donors of charity group.

industial art day
environment:
trendy neighbourhood inbetween p[arkdale and the go train; plenty of converted factories with red brick, reminescent ufo moalawi of wheyn canada was still a baby, maturing to the economicly driven ness you now stand in. it stand in you. the industrial art i was lucky to particiate in was a great designed montross of a plastic candelaire. their was peanuts on the work bench adn surf boards inthe bathroom. this artists could hire worksers ( although i simply worked a few hours for a bicycle tune up) and clearly had hobbby, and dare i say beautiful ideas. i though while i thred metal stings thru plastic rods the evolution of art, how it has become detached from the process of production and became a idea generation venture, akin to advertising€but less often transparent. was this piece destined for a grand hall, a common building idea with out action solid to city hall and put on diplay as tax dollars supporting the people who pay them and making a big produciton out of it. ONce i returned home to the broken couch party, i agian experienced the senstaion of peace and knowing. i had felt it before in the state of euphoria and my logical mind knows the idea well, but the experience is certainly not a constant state, more like the fl;oating of a healium ballon

a day before

environment: the eve of my leave. absent is a state of mind not simply a locationary descirber.
accepting my obsession with past, if only i came from a comfortable family....uh wait i did, yet i am still hungury for more. blessed with tap water ( mereji?) health care and the welfare state. free to decide, design and procrastinate. survival was never a nesicessity the lesiure of life puts a certain spin on my own raison d'etre. i wonder so well that my throat gets partched with out even uttering a single word. longing for a silent- still place where i wont be tempted away from the deep well of myself. i plunge and swirl. admist the questions i remain genuine in my shadows and strenghts

call for inspiration
location: Greenpeace office
environment: avoiding the tick tok of the clock, the hushed breathing of all the other activist training particpants who are sleeping in preparation of the 6am activities. now my mind is a race, the itching kicks in, i am fidigity and ansy. I smuggle my way on to a computer to again loose a opportunity to my lack of bi-ligualism.itomoroow i swear it will be better but gradually the time passes without kesho ever turning around. i loook back years, same goals but without an ounce of progression. litttle efort makes sarah a silly anglophone. the allergic anger fades to a sad, the one i feel when i wake up and have to make maps, instead of pursue any of the own ideas. I carry around so much resentment and posion. Generally i save it up to cry when no one is around me but sometimes i throw it up on to my closes union steward. dam the winter, dam the urbanites who see my eyes but refuse to breathe my air dam the plot to a xrayed film dam the very idea of being a tormented or even a famous artist. China before the olympica, new zealand on someone elses dime. visitn friends in france and sweden and scotland. i want to live in a car this summer. to face paint whereever the car can take me. to follow my whims and not my common sense. to have romance where i can be free enought to share emotions without surrending them, to inspire people to love but not the overwhellming magnet which draws the poles off course.
